Smooth Air-Flow Bench Fume Hoods |

 The Type RS- radiochemical air-flow fume hood is designed primarily
for use with radiochemicals and incorporates that same features
as the smooth air-flow hoods made for low velocity operation .
- The interior of the hood is formed of Type 304 stainless
steel with a #4 satin finish. The sides and back panels are
made of one piece, wrapped around with coved corners that are
welded to the counter top and polished to a smooth finish.
- The stainless steel counter top is formed into a 1/2" deep
pan and has a 5" diameter drain integrally welded into
the counter top. Also, the stainless steel counter top is epoxy
cemented under high pressure to a 1-1/4" thick solid subtop
to support lead bricks (used in some labs for shielding purposes).
- The top liner and interior front are one piece and welded
to the sides.
- Baffles are easily removable to permit access for cleaning.
- The type smooth air-flow fume hood is carefully engineered
with air foil surfaces curved to the air flow path, thereby
creating a smoother air flow pattern and which can remove air
effectively at a lower face velocity. Thus, less room air is
used than a standard fume hood.
- The hood exterior is constructed of zinc-coated and bondarized
steel with an exterior finish of chemical resistant, baked
enamel to a color to match the base cabinet.
- An explosion-proof incandescent light fixture (less bulb)
and switch are provided for maximum safety.
- A vertically sliding front sash has 1/4" thick, laminated
safety glass and is counter balanced with lead weights.

Service Fixtures
- R400V remote control valve assembly with angled serrated
hose connection. Specify Index.
- R410V remote control water faucet with swivel goose
and hose connection for use with either cold or hot water.

- R410V-MIX remote control mixing faucet with swivel
gooseneck and hose connection for use with hot and cold
water.
- Factory prepipe the remote control service fixtures
to either the upper or lower rear of the hood.
